Launching
Launching and Loading Procedures
LAUNCHING PROCEDURE
1. Check ramp conditions & ramp for steepness & depth.
2. Prepare boat for launching.
a) Check and make sure plug is installed.
b) Unhook all boat tie downs.
3. Attach bowline to boat.
4. Back the trailer carefully down the ramp into water until the stern of boat begins to
float.
5. Release winch & carefully allow boat to slide off trailer maintaining complete control
by holding bowline.
6. Tie boat securely to launching dock and pull trailer from water.
DRIVE OFF LAUNCHING PRODECURES
Follow previous steps 1 & 2
3. Back the trailer to the edge of ramp; stop when the boat is a few feet from the water’s
edge.
4. Release the winch & unhook the cable hook from bow eye.
5. Climb into the boat.
6. Have assistant back trailer into the water until the stern of the boat is floating.
7. Start engine and back the boat off the trailer.
8. Have assistant pull trailer from the water and park.
LOADING PROCEDURE
1. Back trailer into water until front support V is partially submerged.
2. Place vehicle in park and apply emergency brake.
3. Place blocks under towing vehicle wheels to help prevent further vehicle movement.
4. Pull winch cable out until about 6” to 10” is extended.
5. Put winch into lock position.
6. Drive boat onto trailer carefully until the bow touches V stop on winch stand. Front
guides will automatically center boat on trailer. Rear uprights if adjusted properly will
momentarily align stern.
7. Fasten winch cable snap hook to towing eye on boat and wind in cable until sung.
Visually check alignment of boat and trailer.
8. Pull the trailer and boat from the water with towing vehicle until on level ground clear
of boat ramp.
9. Make sure boat is positioned correctly on trailer.
10. Boat must fit securely in the V bow stop on winch stand. Perform all other tie down
steps necessary for safe trailering.

  6. Tie boat securely to launching dock and pull trailer from water.

DRIVE OFF LAUNCHING PRODECURES

  4. Have assistant back trailer into the water until the stern of the boat is floating.
  5. Start engine and back the boat off the trailer.
  6. Have assistant pull trailer from the water and park.
